The weekly National Plan and Provider Enumeration System(NPPES) database release have climbed compared to the previous one. NPI database changes in this weekly update have the following details: 3,428 Organization updates, 9,471 individual updates and 242 deactivations. 
California is the leading state this week with 1,343 updates from the 6,965 updates of the top ten States. Texas follows in second place with 1,188 updates. Houston, with 182 updates is the new leading city this week followed by Portland. In the last update, Chicago was the leading city.
