About the United States Virgin Islands
The United States Virgin Islands (abbreviated USVI; also called the US Virgin Islands or American Virgin Islands), officially the Virgin Islands of the United States, is a group of islands in the Caribbean and an unincorporated and organized territory of the United States. In 2010 the population was 106,405, with current estimates putting the population at 107,000 (July 2018), most of whom are of Afro-Caribbean descent. Tourism and related categories are the primary economic activities.
