The weekly National Plan and Provider Enumeration System(NPPES) database release have climbed to 4,303 records. NPI database changes in this weekly update have the following details: 3,198 Organization updates, 11,802 individual updates and 274 deactivations. Houston, with 386 updates is the new leading city this week from the 1,598 updates of the top ten cities, followed by Chicago. In the last update, Charlotte was the leading city with 1,913 updates. California, with 1,529 updates is the new leading state this week from the 8,297 updates of the top ten States, followed by Texas. In the last update, North Carolina was the leading state with 3,907 updates.
