Users can now query information based on Unique Physician Identification Numbers (UPINs). Unique Physician Identification Numbers (UPINs) were assigned to physicians and other healthcare professionals by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) when they enrolled in Medicare. What many are not aware of is that the same UPIN can be assigned to multiple records.
